Tyre defects result in up to one
third more accidents according to Norwich Union |
Up to one
third of all accidents on the road are caused by or contributed to by some
kind of vehicle defect. Statistics compiled by the Department for Transport
show that up to 3000 injury related accidents occur each year due to
defective vehicles wih tyres being the number one cause.
Defective brakes and lights (brake lights not working etc) are also primary
causes of accidents on the road.
Anyone involved in an accident on the road must consider whether the can
make a car accident claim for
compensation. Specialist lawyers can help you pursue a claim for
injury although you may not need legal services in the event of your claim
relating to property damage only. The most common injury on the road is
whiplash. We provide help with whiplash
claims and offer a No win No fee service.
The DfT urges all drivers to maintain their vehicles in good working order
and to ensure that regular servicing takes place. Even newer vehicles
require maintenance with tyres needing to be inflated correctly and possily
replaced every 15-20,ooo miles.
