Do you have a question about PPI?

Reclaim Bank of Scotland PPI premiums

Bank of Scotland,  a hugely successful bank merged with the “Halifax” in 2001. They underwent a huge period of growth during the early part of the last decade but suffered badly in the recession. This culminated in a near fatal collapse of the share price in September 2008 which led to the enforced merger with Lloyds.

Bank of Scotland sold payment protection insurance (PPI) on a huge scale and are exposed to many thousands of PPI claims along with the Halifax .

PPI is intended to cover loan or credit card repayments in the event of redundancy or sickness. It is a very good product in general but was allegedly the subject of widespread mi-selling by UK banks.
