One of the supermarkets involved in
the petrol crisis consider offering compensation
6th
March 2007 |
One of the
supermarkets involved in the defective fuel scandal - Tesco - has offered to
pay compensation if car owners can substantiate they have a genuine case for
engine damage following the purchase of defective fuel.
The country has been gripped by the rather bizarre story of the supermarket
giants (and we are referring to almost all the major stores) defective
supply of fuel. Motorists have been complaining bitterly about the link to
the dodgy fuel but only in recent days have the main players started to own
up.
Liverpool & Victoria insurance company have promised to honour any genuine
claims made by car
owners who have suffered from this problem
Consumer groups are still investigating what went wrong and who was to
blame. There are moves afoot to commence class actions against the main
culprits.
