Incentives for a healthier lifestyle
The government has announced plans to hand out free vouchers totalling £250m to families in a bid to encourage them to live a healthier lifestyle.
Change4Life, the government's health initiative, has launched its "Great Swapathon" which will give out five million voucher books which give discounts on healthy foods and activities. Four million will be distributed by the News of the World and ASDA supermarkets while another million will be handed out by local businesses.
Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said: "The healthy option isn't always the cheapest option so it's a really important step to be able to offer £50 off healthier foods, drinks and activities."
