Global road safety week to be launched in
Scotland - 8th April 2007
The first United Nations
Global Road Safety Week (UNGRSW)
is an important opportunity to
introduce the issue of road
traffic injuries to a wider
audience.
The week takes place from 23
– 29 April 2007 and aims to
improve the safety of the
hundreds of millions of young
people who travel the world's
roads every day A grim statistic
suggests that up to 360 children
are killed or badly injured on
Scotlands roads every year.
In what has been described as
an exciting new initiative, the
UNGRSW is being launched in
Scotland and will help to
promote road safety in the
country by educating and
informing the public. If you, a
relative or friend have been
injured in a road accident, you
might be able to make a
car accident claim.
