Global road safety week launched in Scotland

Latest news Read the latest on car accidents in the UK:

Global road safety week to be launched in Scotland - 8th April 2007

The first United Nations Global Road Safety Week (UNGRSW) is an important opportunity to introduce the issue of road traffic injuries to a wider audience.

The week takes place from 23 – 29 April 2007 and aims to improve the safety of the hundreds of millions of young people who travel the world's roads every day A grim statistic suggests that up to 360 children are killed or badly injured on Scotlands roads every year.

In what has been described as an exciting new initiative, the UNGRSW is being launched in Scotland and will help to promote road safety in the country by educating and informing the public. If you, a relative or friend have been injured in a road accident, you might be able to make a car accident claim.

Contact The Claims Connection for help and advice. In Scotland a working group has already been set up consisting of representation from RoSPA, Road Safety Scotland, Institute of Road Safety officers (a href="http://www.irso.org.uk/">IRSO), Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland (ACPOS) and Society of Chief Officers of Transportation in Scotland (SCOTS). Local agencies are committed to supporting the United Nations initiative.
