We provide advice on insolvency in relation to
bankruptcy proceedings or Individual Voluntary
Arrangements.
Our solicitors can advise you on a suitable debt
solution that may be more appropriate for your
circumstances than a consolidation loan or similar
option.

Insolvency & Bankruptcy
Insolvency is the inability of an individual,
business or other entity to pay debts when they are due.
Bankruptcy is the process that allows an individual,
business or other entity to legally declare its
inability to pay creditors.
IVA or Individual
Voluntary Arrangement - this is an agreement between
debtor and creditor to repay al or part of the debt
subject to a strict legally binding agreement. An IVA is
a more suitable option than bankruptcy for certain
debtors.
Debt management or re-scheduling - this
generally involves obtaining advice regarding the debts
owed and then entering into either a debt consolidation
loan or some other "plan" to repay the monies owed.
If you run a company that is heading for
insolvency - please read our
Corporate Voluntary Arrangements section.
