Commercial solicitor poor service but not negligent

Mr Jassal is a very successful entrepreneur. He recently retained some solicitors to draft some commercial contracts.

They said this work would cost him £5,000 and would take a month to complete. It is now 3 months later, and the work is still not complete. Mr Jassal has been calling his solicitor for several days now, but he will not take his calls, and does not call him back.

Mr Shah has now been billed for the work, and the bill is £6,000. Mr Jassal does not have a professional negligence claim.  He can make a complaint to the solicitors, and then if he is not satisfied to the Legal Services Ombudsman.
