Online debt advice - bankruptcy and IVA's UK - regulated solicitors

Debt management advice for people considering bankruptcy or Voluntary Arrangements

If you are an individual or company unable to pay your debts you may need advice on how best to resolve your problems.

Unlike many UK debt management and consolidation companies we are a firm of regulated solicitors who have a specialist online team dealing with insolvency and debt related matters.

We can provide you with advice on managing your credit debts and can help with solutions such as Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVA’s).  We can also provide bankruptcy  and insolvency advice and discuss whether this is the best option for you. If you have limited or no assets then reverting to bankrupt status must be seriously considered and you should not be worried about any stigma that surrounds this process.

Bankruptcy can often be the be a sensible option. Alternatively an Individual Voluntary Arrangement or IVA may be suitable. This is a serious option for anyone who does have assets (such as property) and wishes to retain them.

The debt management industry is largely unregulated and this can be a major concern for clients at a time when help is needed most.   There are many cases of “misselling” in today’s saturated market where people opt for expensive repayment schemes instead of for example bankruptcy.

An IVA may or may not be the best solution for you.   You may be better placed opting for a debt repayment plan which can be agreed with your creditors.   Our advisors will inform you about your rights (you may owe money but you still have rights) and outline how or if you can retain any assets.

If you run a company that is heading for insolvency - please read our Corporate Voluntary Arrangement section.
